Hendrik Göhmann is a seasoned expert in maritime navigation technologies, currently serving as Product Manager at SevenCs GmbH, a Hamburg-based company specializing in chart production tools, and maritime software solutions.
With a strong academic background in Geoinformatics, Hendrik began his career in the marine industry in 2016. His expertise spans the entire lifecycle of digital charting - from initial site surveys and chart production to distribution and final portrayal on certified ECDIS systems. This holistic understanding enables him to integrate complex data and standards into practical, user-friendly navigation solutions.
At SevenCs, Hendrik is responsible for the ECDIS Kernel and its associated functions. His role involves ensuring that software features are implemented efficiently and in full compliance with international standards. He has been an active contributor to several International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) working groups since 2018, playing a pivotal role in the development of the S-100 framework, which underpins the next generation of electronic navigational charts.
One of his key responsibilities is leading the S-101 portrayal subgroup, representing SevenCs in shaping how future chart data will be visually rendered. Hendrik also collaborates with other regulatory and industry bodies such as CIRM (Comité International Radio-Maritime) and the IMO (International Maritime Organization), helping to align SevenCs’ innovations with global maritime standards.
